Sweat : Favourite Core Exercises

My journey started with Pilates classes. That was a good 8 to 9 years ago. The one thing that stuck with me all these years is how important a strong core is for all other forms of exercising. Running, Lifting, Yoga, you name it.

Here’s a few mini-circuits of my favourite Core Exercises which you can add to any workout. Or combine it for one helluva core burnout.

Warm Up:

10 x Interval Sprints 30s on/30s off

Circuit 1 (The All Rounder):

60 seconds per exercise; 3 to 5 rounds

  1. Mountain Climbers
  2. Leg Raises
  3. Oblique Crunches (30sec per side)

Circuit 2 (The Weighted Warrior):

Β (10 to 15 Reps per Exercise, 3 to 5 Sets)

  • Weighted Jack Knife
  • Weighted Sit Ups
  • Weighted Side to Side Oblique Toe Touches

Circuit 3 (The Plank Punisher):Β 

30 seconds per exercise

  1. Elbow Plank
  2. High Plank
  3. Side Plank Right
  4. Side Plank Left
  5. Mountain Climbers
