Food Notes: The Wild Fig

What a hidden gem. And thanks to the Entertainer for helping us find it.

Freshly Baked Farmstyle Bread to start off with, followed by sharing the Camembert with hubby. The camembert was refreshlingy done different (no crumbs!) Baked, and served with the sweetest figs, Almonds and Crusty Bread. A must try.

For dinner, I had the tasty and filling Salmon Fish Cakes with Cucumber and Lemon/Chilli aioli. The portion was massive! Hubby had the lamb shank and reckons it’s in his top 3 best he’s ever had.

We decided to go the full monty and squeezed in dessert. I had the Peppermint Crisp Terrarium which was a different take on our local Mint Crisp Tart. It included all my favourites including bits of meringue and salted caramel ice cream. Hubby dared the White Chocolate Cheesecake and it was perfection.

Service was excellent. The setting perfect. My advice: go hungry!
